People have much skepticism over Newcastle takeover.
Much controversy has been caused by the new Newcastle ownership due to a shady past, and state-ownership. For many years Newcastle fans have been unhappy with the past ownership under Mike Ashley. So what seems like a brilliant move for Newcastle, the rest of the league shares a different opinion. This move makes Newcastle the most wealthy club in the league by a very large margin. For context if you were to combine the networth of all other Premier League club owners, it would not come close to that of Newcastle's $429 billion networth. With that type of money that can change the entire league, they can now buy any player they want. After the Super League debockle, many soccer fans have great hesitation around businessmen in soccer it will be interesting to see how fans react. Another controversial aspect of the takeover is that there are questions over who really owns PIF, there are questions if the Saudi Arabian government has too much ownership into PIF and the social justice issues in the Saudi Arabia state.
Man United fire their manager after terrible run of form. Who is next for United?
In a move that wasn't all that surprising and felt like a long time coming, Manchester United have sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after a 4-1 loss to newly promoted Watford. Many Man U fans have been calling for this move for a very long time, but most fans have had their eyes opened after only taking 4 points from 21. On top of that embarassing losses against rival Liverpool and Manchester City, and a ridicuolous amount of goals conceded since the start of the season. It's been 9 years since the glory days of the Sir Alex Fergusson era and now United has gone through 4 managers trying to find a worthy replacement. Who's next is what a lot of Man United fans are asking. Zinedine Zidane is one who is linked to United since he's currently out of a job. With his illustious Champions League record many United fans would be excited to bring on the Frenchmen. With a job as big as United there are also rumors of managers in jobs leaving their current position for the opening. Notably being, Mauricio Pochettino (PSG), Brendan Rodgers (Leicester City), and Erik ten Hag (Ajax). Then of course there is the possibility United hire within the current system, which I do not believe United fans would take to kindly to.
Mo Salah has been on stellar form, is he the best in the world?
After a down season from Liverpool, many wondered if the aging winger would ever return to his peak form. The answer so far this season has been a resounding yes. The Egyptian is the top goal scorer in the Premier League thus far with 11, 4 more than his former teammate Sadio Mane, and Leicester's star striker Jamie Vardy. He is also tied for the most assists with rivals Mancher United's Paul Pogba at 7. On top of that he has not missed a minute of Premier League action playing 1,080 minutes so far this season. At the moment Liverpool is sitting 3rd in the Premier League and 4 points of leaders Chelsea, but they do have the most goals scored lead by Salah at 35 with the next closest being Chelsea at 30. In some of the more recent goals Mohammed Salah has scored some of the most fantastic goals you'll ever see. Two of which he showcases is quick feet inside the box deadly accuarcy from seemingly impossible angles. The goals he has scored have proven that he is definitly one of the best in the English league, and even has an argument for best in the world.
